How to check if my iOS device is eSIM compatible and carrier unlocked?

Want to know if your iPhone can use an eSIM and if it’s unlocked? Here’s a quick way to check:

1.    Open Settings

2.    Tap General > About

3.    Scroll down to the section that says Carrier Lock. If it says “No SIM restrictions”, then your iPhone is unlocked and ready to use with any provider.

4.    Scroll a bit further and look for either:

-       “Available SIM” (on iOS 15 and newer)

-       “Digital SIM” (on older versions)

-       If you see an IMEI number listed there, your iPhone is eSIM compatible.

Important: If you already have two SIMs active on your phone, you might need to remove or disable one before installing a new eSIM.
