If you’re getting messages like:
-“Couldn’t activate service”
-“Couldn’t activate Verizon”
Or something similar with your eSIM provider name…
…it likely means your phone already has an old eSIM installed that needs to be removed.
Pixel devices can only use one physical SIM + one eSIM at a time. If there’s already an eSIM profile on your phone, it will block the new one from activating even if the old eSIM is turned off.
How to delete an old eSIM on Pixel:
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Network & internet
3. Tap Mobile network
4. Select the old eSIM you want to remove
5. Tap Delete SIM
