If your eSIM shows that it's connected but you're not getting Internet, don’t worry. You're not alone, and it's usually easy to fix.
Here are some signs your eSIM might not be fully connected to the data network:
1. Super slow speeds when browsing or using apps
2. Only seeing “E” (Edge) instead of 4G/LTE
3. No internet at all, even though the eSIM shows a signal
Some ways how to fix it
IMPORTANT: Don’t delete your eSIM! Just follow the steps below or reach out to our support team.
Step 1: Are you in the righy country?
Your GlobalGo eSIM is made to work only in Indonesia.
You can install it anywhere in the world but it won’t connect to a local network until you arrive in Indonesia.
Step 2: Turn on Data Roaming
Your eSIM needs data roaming turned on to connect to a local Indonesian network.
For IPhone:
1. Go to Settings > Cellular
2. Tap on your eSIM line (it might be called “Personal,” “Secondary,”)
3. Make sure “Turn On This Line” is ON
4. Make sure “Data Roaming” is ON
Step 3: Set your eSIM as the active date plan
If your phone is trying to use your primary SIM for data, the eSIM won’t connect.
For IPhone:
1. Go to Settings > Cellular
2. Tap Cellular Data
3. Choose your GlobalGo eSIM as the active data plan
4. Turn OFF “Allow Mobile Data Switching”
5. Make sure your eSIM is not selected as the default voice line (it's data-only)
Step 4: Reset your connection
Sometimes your phone just needs a quick refresh.
-Turn on Airplane Mode for about 30 seconds, then turn it off
-Wait a few minutes — it may take up to 15 minutes for the eSIM to fully connect and begin showing 4G/LTE
Step 5: Try selecting a network manually
If it’s still not working, you can try choosing the network yourself.
For IPhone:
1. Go to Settings > Cellular
2. Tap your GlobalGo eSIM
3. Tap Network Selection
4. Turn Automatic OFF and wait for the list to appear
5. Select TELKOMSEL as your network
6. Wait for the signal to update (it may say “Searching…” first)
7. Once connected, you can turn Automatic back
Still not working?
It’s possible you're in an area with limited coverage, or there may be a temporary network issue.
Here’s what you can do:
-Leave Network Selection set to Automatic
-Keep your phone turned on. It will continue looking for a signal in the background
-And of course, feel free to reach out to GlobalGo Support anytime. We’re here to help you.
